A Silicon Valley startup headquartered 50 miles away from San Fransisco, as they couldn’t afford any property there, yesterday announced the launch of airbabynb, a baby rental service for interested parties and baby aficionados. Inspired by the online home rental platform Airbnb(who surprisingly haven’t sued them yet), airbabynb would provide a wide range of baby related services and many varieties of babies across different races, tendency to cry, the tendency to sleep, or puke amongst others. It’s babies made easy.
For more information, we sought out the CEO of the company Peter Chao, “Well renting out inanimate objects like houses, hotels, and cars had become so mainstream we decided to deal with humans instead. We went into the market expecting an adverse reaction as the only time one hears about renting people is either in the context of prostitution or slavery. But our idea is completely innocent, what if someone wants to experience what it’s like having a child and isn’t willing to wait for those agonizing 9 months provided they get lucky on the first shot. So they can just hire one of our babies and have that experience. Now if someone is unsure whether to have a baby or not then we provide them a full baby package where they can keep a baby for 11 days and 12 nights and see for themselves if they are up for it. Plus if people don’t have a baby but need one for appearance’s sake, airbabynb offers an hourly rate. The babies come in in various types like budget and premium. Premium babies are the ones which are least likely to cause a ruckus, bite strangers and stay awake all night. The initial reaction has been very encouraging.”
The main source for the procurement of the babies would be from various day care centers but airbabynb also hopes to supply its original line of babies very soon.
