Facebook to Pay Users Based on Number of Friends

The world was shocked today when Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook, announced that Facebook will pay each user a flat-rate of one dollar per friend each month. Many users spoke out through their posted responses.

Daniel Perez of Santa Ana, CA asked, “So, if i have 200 friends this month, I get 200 bucks? Then what if i have like 201 next month or something?” Zuckerberg publicly responded saying, “You will get $201.00 next month. I’m glad you’re looking forward to this!” He included a smiley face emoji.

Maggie Shumacker of Hartford, CT asked, “Why?” She then added roughly fifty question mark emojis followed by a cash sign emoji. Zuckerberg responded saying, “Because we’re rich and we can do this. Do not question my motives.” Batman for Social Justice replied to Zuckerberg’s comment asking, “Why did you use the question mark emojis instead of a real question mark?” At the time of writing this article, 107 comments from other users were also posted.
