Twenty-seven-year-old Jeffery Downhour was the guest of honor as he was paraded through the streets of Layos, Nigeria. A hero for helping restore the true prince of Nigeria to the throne, Downhour paid $700, which he wired via Western Union, to free the prince from prison.

The prince was stuck in a foreign country and could not access his funds to pay the fines. The prince maintains he was imprisoned under false pretenses. He managed to obtain a cellphone through the prison bartering system. He then desperately sent out a mass email to whomever he could. Unfortunately, his email became so well distributed that it was believed to be a phishing scam linked to suspicious criminal activity.

Despite the millions of people receiving his email, Downhour was the only one who responded. Thanks to his efforts, the rightful ruler of Nigeria has managed to reclaim his country to the cheers of his citizens. Even the former president and usurper, Muhammadu Buhari, stated that “his reign will undoubtedly lead Nigeria to a glorious future.”
