Apple announced at its annual WWDC that it will be selling the Amazon Echo with an Apple Logo. It will do the same thing as the Amazon Echo but cost twice as much.
Apple seems to be out of new ideas and behind the curve of new innovative products. Since the iPad, Apple hasn’t made a new product that anyone needed, so they have resorted to copying popular products and releasing it years later at a marked up price.
Consumers are willing to pay more for a product if it has an Apple Logo has been Apple’s marketing strategy since losing Steve Jobs in 2011.
Rumors about the second generation Apple HomePod include its ability to do more stuff like the Amazon Echo. But unless Siri can order more junk from Amazon Prime, its a pass. (Really we will be in line to get it the day it comes out! Because it has an Apple logo.)
