Descendants of Founding Fathers Draft Letter to Queen Elizabeth

Squib News has learned that an organization, known as The Society of the Descendants of the Signers of the Declaration of Independence, has sent a letter to Queen Elizabeth of England asking that the United States of America be returned to British rule, as it has failed miserably in the “experiment of democracy.”

When contacted by Squib News, Laura Belman, a descendant of three signers had this to say:

“We, the descendants of the Founding Fathers, feel it is our right and responsibility to keep alive their memory and legacy, as well as ensure the nation remains faithful to their intentions. Considering that we, as a nation, are unable to produce better candidates for the Presidency than those seeking office this year, DSDI is convinced that America has failed miserably in our attempt at self-governance and that it is time to return to British colonial rule. Accordingly, our board of directors has presented Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth with a proposal to do exactly that. A letter has been sent to her and, while there has been no direct response, we have been contacted by representatives of the British government with some questions Her Majesty has regarding the details of our proposal.”

Phone calls and emails from Squib editors to Tobias Ellwood, MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State (Middle East, North Africa, North America) have gone unanswered. However, a highly-placed source at the British embassy in Washington, D.C. informed this reporter that the Queen and Prime Minister will be holding a press conference in two days, but wouldn’t specify what will be discussed. Another source speculated that either Prince William or Prince Harry would be named as colonial governor.
